I (she/her) am a South Indian-Australian performer, director and writer with training and credits from Sydney, London and Los Angeles.
My journey into performing and directing started when I was five. I was a speech and drama competition kid and also thought that playdates meant an opportunity to stage plays on the backyard patio. By ten, I was playing the Mayor in The Pied Piper of Hamelin and throughout high school, my drama teachers encouraged me to play strong-willed male/female characters. These early experiences ignited a deep love for storytelling and also leadership, all without any real thought of limits. It then came as a shock when my first agent highlighted how few opportunities there were for 'exotic-looking' artists like me. That moment, though, was a huge turning point. It made it very clear how much work there was to do in our industry and has since fueled my drive to create HearHERoar – a platform for amplifying diverse voices and stories and urgently striving for change, especially DEI progress in Australia.
My recent work includes performing in theatre productions; Prem Patr (NTofP), Darkness (Newtheatricals), The Marriage Agency (kwento/KXT) and Three Fat Virgins Unassembled (Slanted Theatre/KXT). I directed A Very Romantic Proposal (Semi-Finalist, Short+Sweet Festival 2025) and Kopi-Diem (Serpent Secrets/Slanted Theatre & NTofP) and assistant-directed Wife (New Theatre) and Terminus (Controlled Chaos Productions). I have appeared in feature films including Risen, Lux in Tenebris and Breathe. I am also an audiobook narrator for titles on Audible, including Love Partitioned, Lillian's Eden and I Can See Clearly Now.
